So we all know as moms that the thanks and praise for our efforts is not always evident in our children's behavior. At least I do. I try so hard to make sure that my words are sinking in, but some days it is impossible to remember that the evidence of them actually learning these "life lessons" may not be seen for years and years down the road. Imagine my surprise when Eli started to say the prayer over lunch after church today and then STOPPED to take off his hat and started over. I looked at Brandon in utter shock and dismay not believing that of all the times I have reminded him of the need for respect, today he remembered on his own. It was a small victory for me and a reminder that they do listen to me, even if it takes a while for the follow through. I had to write this down so hopefully I will remember this incident when the urge to scream threatens to overtake me. . .we'll see

A chill is in the air. . .

I love the fall. The leaves are starting to change, the air is cooler and soccer is here again. Blythe's team is back at it this year except now it's all girls, we are all about "girl power" to quote my daughter. At her game on Saturday I got some really cute pics of Tess but none of Blythe. I'll get some this Saturday's game but for now check out how Tess is growing up.
P.S-Mom, I love her jacket so much! It is so soft and warm and I wish I had one!

Amazing Video
If you have a spare 5 minutes watch this video my mom sent me. It is unbelievable! The human body can do amazing things! I was in awe the entire time!
Shamelessly stealing good ideas!
Recently I have spent some time cruising through the blogs of my friends and family members in order to read some of the blogs of THEIR friends and family members and shamelessly steal good ideas. I have discovered so many good websites, cool music, design ideas and books I can't wait to read. I have found alot of great gift ideas too. Am I the only one who has done this? Fess up and make me feel better about my mooching!

So Cal for the game

This past weeekend we went down to So Cal to stay with Brandon's grandparents and go to the BYU-UCLA game. Brandon's mom got tickets for Brando for Father's day this year. They came down along with Emmalee and Zac to join us at the game. It was awesome to be at the Rose Bowl and to see Zac's brother Austin play for BYU again after his mission.

Eli's B-day

We celebrated Eli's B-day playing games at the park with a bunch of friends. I think the thing he loved the most was his ninja turtle cake made by my talented friend Heather. It was a manhole cover with the four turtles on top-so cute! It actually might be a tie with his ninja turtle sword which didn't leave his hand all day.
