Spring is here!

My neighbor has been a great inspiration to me in the floral department. She always has a vase of fresh flowers on her kitchen counter and a few around the house. She and I got to talking about it last spring and she said that she wanted that to be one of the things her kids remembered about her as they got older. I made a few attempts last year but this spring have renewed my commitment to keep fresh flowers around because it really does make me happy. I took a few pics with my phone which are not great but show off some of the blooms we are currently enjoying from our backyard. Blythe especially loves to come home to a few rose buds sitting on her headboard. Even just one next to the bathroom sink makes it smell lovely and makes me smile. Try it if you don't believe me, it will improve your mood and brighten your day.
Brandon has the camera because he and Eli went with Papa to look for a cabin up in the mountains. Eli was so excited about his boys trip. I am excited to hear about what they find.
I know that I have not been the best blogger lately but I am now back on board!
Happy Spring!

Sac Zoo

Blythe's new thing is taking funny face pictures!

The Eckenburg Elephant Class

Blythe and Erin with Mrs. Eckenburg

Blythe had her zoo field trip on Friday and I went with her to chaperone. We had alot of fun together and riding the bus made me feel like a kid again!

Annie

Our cute little friend Abby played Annie last week and I took the kids to see her. Blythe LOVED the show and Abby was awesome! Somewhere in the middle she whispered to me that she wanted to be Annie and started to sing to me so I could hear how good she would do!

Missing Asher

This week we got a picture in the mail from Corley of her, Jonathan, and Asher. Let me just tell you that I have not seen a more sad confused child than Tess who kept pointing at Asher and then looking around wondering where he was. She would not let the picture go and right after I took the second pic of her, she put the picture to lips and kissed Asher's tiny face! It was so sweet and made me wish that we all lived closer! We love you Newburns!
