Saying goodbye to the new Mrs. Olson!

We drove down to Riverside to see Brandon's grandparents this past weekend. We also went to Disneyland on Friday and saw some old friends that we love. Then Saturday my college roommate Jenae got married in San Diego. It was gorgeous and she looked so beautiful. She was the first person Erica and I met when we went to freshman orientation and she's been a great friend ever since. She married a great guy and I am so excited to watch their family grow!

Open House

A new student has taken over Blythe's desk.

Blythe's animal project on the penquin.

A lovely chalk clown drawn by a budding artist.

We had open house at Blythe's school and she loved showing off all her projects and the wonderful things she is learning. I can't believe that she will be a big second grader-where does the time go?

Camp Far West

Nothing like eating sand. . .

And digging in the dirt. . .

And eating a picnic lunch with your friends. . .

And gearing up for a swim across the lake. . .

And chillin with dad on my boogie board. . .

And cheesing for the camera. . .

And getting chased by a cute boy!

Two weeks ago we went camping with some other families in our ward. We had a great time and the kids wore themselves completely out. It was awesome and we need to do it again this summer! Thanks for the great memories.

My Crate and Barrel order. . .

has arrived.

Mother's Day 2008

Mother's day was great. I went to Eli's preschool for some sweet singing, and Blythe's class had a mother's tea and performed a great little penguin play. My hubby and kids made me breakfast and gave me sweet cards. Brando got me some new headphones for when I run, an itunes card, and a new cover for my phone-all things I needed and love!

Blythe's class made their moms these great hats and I realized that with my curls I kind of look like little bo peep huh? I am still waiting on a pic of Eli and I so when I get it I will post that too.

My kids humble me and remind me about what is important all the time. I love them so much and am so grateful that the Lord has entrusted such sweet, funny, lovable little people to me.

On Sunday we went up to the Hardy house for a great meal and some good family time. Jill and I got each other the same gift (a silver cupcake stand from crate and barrel) so we had a good laugh about that. We did have a conversation about it so it wasn't totally random. Of course it is always good to see Em, Zac, and Shae and get excited for Kendyl to join our family. We can't wait to meet her!

My favorite kids show. . .

has to be Super Why. Have you guys seen this show? It is awesome and Eli LOVES it. As a matter of fact that is all he watches now. If you haven't seen it check it out.

Emmalee's baby shower

Saturday I went to Em's baby shower. This pregnancy has been such blessing and we are happy to be having a shower while Em is still prego. For those that don't know, our niece Shae is our family's miracle baby who was born at 27 weeks. Em had to leave Shae in the NICU in Utah to come out to California for her baby shower when she really still should have been pregnant. It was very hard at the time but to see Shae now you would have never known her entrance into this world was so unexpected. She is a little sweetpea and is going to make a great big sister. We are so excited for Em and Zac to welcome baby Kendyl Collie at the end of the month.

3rd Annual MS walk

The "A" on my hat could stand for alot of things but today it stands for A-Ron!

This year I was the lone soldier on the MS walk. The last 2 years we have walked together for our great friend Aaron Stroud but this year Brandon took the kids to Blythe's softball games while I walked solo. It was a great experience and I love supporting a great cause and a longtime friend. Love you Stroudy's!

Daddy/Daughter field trip

One of the blessings of Brandon's flexible schedule is that he is able to do alot with the kids. He went with Blythe on her walking field trip to the high school to see a play. He stayed and had lunch with her too. She talked about it all week before and was so proud to have her daddy with her!

Brown hair and fake eyebrows

Here is a pic of me and bean that she took so Aunt Corley could see my brown hair, along with a silly one of them playing with fake eyebrows.

Snaggle Tooth!

I think the pictures say it all. Someone is smiling alot more lately!

Weed California

The Hardy family cabin hunt is underway. The first stop took the guys to Weed CA. Yes that is the town's name, I am not making it up! They found a few houses they really liked and said the area was gorgeous. Eli had a good time being one of the big boys and even made it through 18 holes of golf!

Eli's zoo trip

It is the month for zoo field trips. Not only did I get to go with Blythe, but I got to go with Eli's preschool class too. We had a great time.

Tired

Unfortunately for Tess sometimes being the third child in our family takes its toll. She gets dragged around alot and often is lucky if she gets a nap in the car. The other day at one of Blythe's games she laid down on the cement and almost fell asleep! Yucky but really cute!

Little skier

My kids are obsessed with ski googles. Not only Blythe and Eli but now Tess too!

The Hardy Drive-in

Brandon pulled the truck in sideways in the garage and put the air mattress in the back so the kids could have a drive-in movie night. He used the projector and they watched "alvin and the chipmunks" and fell asleep in the back. What a great dad!
