After spending the night in Naples, we drove into Rome by lunchtime. As we were driving to the hotel all the sudden the Colosseum came into view, it took us totally by surprise. We checked in and then headed out to tour it up close. It was awesome. Then we walked the streets, did some shopping and came upon the Pantheon. To think about looking at pictures of these places in books and then realizing we were actually there seeing them up close was overwhelming. We were so grateful for this opportunity to appreciate the beauty and history of an amazing country.

Wow you guys took some great pictures! We are so happy you had the chance to go and the skiing looked fantastic! It's been about 7 years since I hit the slopes. Pretty sad!
