Rome Day 2-The Vatican

On our second day in Rome we went to the Vatican. It was really cool and we saw some amazing things. I love art and at one time was an art history major. Although my memory has faded about alot of details there are some pieces of art you never forget learning about. For me seeing the Sistine Chapel was awe inspiring. I could have spent hours there marveling at the work of Michelangelo. His Pieta was amazing too. We also paid a few extra euro to climb the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. It was so narrow at times that you almost had to go sideways, and one staircase had a rope hanging down in the middle to hold on to. The view was amazing and so high. It was a little dizzying. We sent a few postcards from the Vatican post office and went from there to shop and grab some lunch. The hall of heads
